Hello, I’m Shannon Clarke, a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and trauma-informed mental health practitioner. I am passionate about helping people reconnect with their inner strength, regulate their nervous system, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, grounded, and authentic.
Many of the individuals I work with feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Some are navigating the impacts of trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or major life transitions. My role is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your experiences without judgment and begin to understand your mind, body, and emotions in a deeper way.
My approach is integrative and holistic. I combine evidence-informed counselling methods with body-based and nervous system approaches, including Polyvagal Theory, somatic therapy, and emotion-focused strategies. I also integrate breathwork, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation techniques to support healing beyond traditional talk therapy.
In addition to being a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I am also a licensed Naturotherapist and a Reiki Level I & II Practitioner. For clients who are open to it, I incorporate energy healing and spiritual perspectives to support the connection between mind, body, and spirit.
I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to explore our story and supported enough to create new ways of being. Through my practice, Resilience Counselling, I aim to help clients build self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a deeper connection to themselves.
It is an honour to walk alongside individuals on their healing journey as they rediscover their strength, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and create meaningful change in their lives.
